APPLE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL ART PRINT
2025 Art Print Artist, Allison Lewis
Allison is a life-long Northwest creative. She loved the beauty in nature growing up in the Wenatchee area as a child and created with her hands any 2D art form she discovered, as well as a love for music. Exploring different mediums and styles at the University of Washington in college, she received a B.A. in Visual Arts. Later she went back to school for a B.A. from C.W.U. in Art Education. It wasn’t until 2018 that Allison really began creating art in the marketplace.
Her amazingly supportive husband Dan, that she met at U.W. , and their 4 kids, have lived in and loved the small town of Cashmere, Washington for the last 20 years. They are nestled against the Cascade mountains that provide endless inspiration. Allison loves hiking, road trips, live music, meeting new people from around the world and any adventure that leads to beauty with her family, friends, and fellow artists.
What inspires Allison’s art, life, and view of nature is The Creator, the ultimate master artist. Currently her bodies of work focus on inspirational hand lettering pieces, and local northwest landscapes. Her custom commissioned works vary from personal family statement pieces, to a hospital art installation, CD, website and book cover art. Her current paintings are created with a watercolor /mixed media resist process and metallic leaf application, respectively. Her specific abstract landscape technique is inspired by her love for clean and bold lines used in printmaking techniques, mixed with the more natural flow of watercolor. The subjects and styles reflected in Allison’s art express and connect her with beauty and The Creator behind it all. She hopes her response to creation with landscapes and words of hope bring life to the current challenging times in our world and those who view it.
Allison created the Apple Blossom Art print almost 20 years ago with a piece so different than this year’s piece. Using different mediums and perspective, with the previous work focusing on an ‘up close and personal’ look at Apple Blossom, this year she purposefully chose an aerial landscape view from one end of the valley, encompassing both sides of the river during spring. Without the focus on manmade structures and cityscapes but rather an abstract natural landscape and sunset with a higher perspective from the air, she hopes you are inspired to hope and look from a different perspective at our valley-to see what is possible from simply ‘going higher’. There is always a better view from above.
