The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is honoring owners of The Wenatchee Wild Bill & Carla Stewart along with Coach Paul Baxter and the Wild team, as the 2010 Grand Marshals of the 91st Annual Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Stemilt Growers Grand Parade.
Since the Wild has come to Wenatchee in 2008, our entire community has been re-ignited with a sense of pride, loyalty, and togetherness as we have watched this team develop and have cheered them on to greatness. Our current economic times have taken a toll on many yet the public has still found a way to make the Wenatchee Wild a huge part of the Wenatchee Valley. And, the Wild have certainly found a way to pay it forward...they have donated over $200,000 back to ourcommunity. This success wouldn’t be possible without the commitment from Bill, Carla, Paul Baxter – Head Coach, and the entire team and staff.
Also, as Grand Marshal, they will be honored at the All Service Club Luncheon on Thursday, April 29th and will be riding in the Stemilt Growers Grand Parade on Saturday, May 1st.
The Festival Office and the Wild Staff are working on an event for the public that will take place on Thursday evening, April 29th. More information will be released as it comes available.
Also, the Grand Marshal of the 2010 Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Keyes Fibre Youth Parade, on Saturday, April 24th is Wild mascot, Walt the Wolf. Walt will also make an appearance at the Pepsi-Cola Youth Day on Sunday, April 25th.
The Grand Marshals are sponsored by Colonial Vista Long Term Care, Colonial Vista Retirement, Healthy Options, Highline Convalescent Center, and Hearthstone Cottage.
